Maths What I have learnt about tangram

I have learnt how to use tan gram shapes to solve shapes, letters and Animals.

My Experience at the Cluster Rugby Tournement

I had a great time at the cluster rugby tournament. I played in the overs and our captain was Eneasi. First I did some stretches and warm ups with the team, we were getting ready for our first game.  Before we walked to the field we went through the rules just to make sure everyone knows what to do in the field.  

We verse four teams which was Panmure Bridge, Glenbrae, Roportaka and Tamaki.  Our first match was against Panmure Bridge on field four we found them very easy and kept them scoreless.  After that we were against Glenbrae, Glenbrae gave us a good try but ended up short only by one try because they rely on one person instead of using the whole team.  We were undefeated so far in the tournament.

Roportaka was next in our list they tried their best but they were not good enough and we kept them scoreless.  We had a bye and our team were playing around instead of doing our game plan.  It was time to play rugby Tamaki's defence was tough to break.  When we had the hang of it we used our chances but we played well too late and loss. Our undefeated streak broke.

Our team had a lesson when we play around we won’t know what we are doing. We made it to the semi finals and we were against Glenbrae.  We won and kept them scoreless and made it to the finals the weather turned ugly.  Tamaki was beating us by one try then game over the game stopped early because of the rain and ended up coming second.  I was happy for our team and how we played as a team.

What was the book about?

This book is about a boy named George he is a young boy.  George’s grandma is not kind and helpful like the other’s, she’ grumpy and is a grizzly old grouch. George wants to teach her grandma a lesson, so when it’s time for her medicine , George is going to make his own medicine thats going to be bubbling and frothing, marvellous mixture. George’s medicine is going to blow her grandma through the roof.

What did you like about the book?

I like this book because I like Roald Dahl books.

What was your favourite part of the book?

My favourite part in this story was when George gave the medicine to her grandma.

Cross Country

St Pius X school was doing cross country. There is always a lst, 2nd and 3rd. There are also helpers   Cross country is a one year event.  Cross country is a sport event that involves long distance running.   When you are running towards a driveway look before you run to see if there's a car reversing out and when dogs are barking walk past it until you're a little far from that dog then run.  The whole school gathered together in the tennis courts. Each person runs on their age group.  

First my age group was running. age 9 to 13  had to run around the block. My age group ran around the block twice.  There is always a person who starts the race.  Go! I paced myself down our school driveway and turned I try to keep up with the others but I wasn't fast enough to keep up.  

Every time I get tired I power walk until I get my breath back.  The 2nd lap I ran up the hill and power walked down. The helpers were cheering me on like I was on the Olympics long distance running.  I ran up our school driveway and ran to the courts I didn't make it to the top 5 to score a point for my team.

The juniors were running around the field I was cheering the juniors during their long distance run.  After the juniors cross country we went back to our classrooms and tidied it up.  Mr Coakley announced the winning team on Friday, the winning team was Tuis.

What was the book about?

Mr Twit and Mrs Twit a really disgusting old people because they never wash themselves.  They always fight because they play tricks on each other.  They keep a group of monkeys in the back yard and the monkeys are planning to get revenge.                         

What did you like about the book?

I like Roald Dahl story’s because I find them funny.

What was your favourite part of the book?

My favourite part was that Mr Twit thought he got rid of Mrs Twit but as soon as she was going up she popped lots of balloons so then she started going down and when she came down she was angry.
